Sportmanship is Important too

Winning is only one part of sport, participation and sportsmanship play a huge role in the enjoyment of sport and physical activity.

This was demonstrated in the 2016 Rio Olympic Games where New Zealand 5000m runner Nikki Hamblin and American Abbey D'Agostino have been awarded a special Olympic medal for sportsmanship.

This has only been awarded 17 times in Olympic history.
